Heddrick McBride

Heddrick McBride is the founder of McBride Collection of Stories. After having his daughter Skylar and noticing the lack of diverse literature, he went on a mission to educate, entertain and motivate all readers. With this mission in mind, McBride has created a collection of over 100 culturally responsive children's books that provide diverse characters and storylines. By creating these stories, he has increased the desire for minority children to read across the globe. His books have been featured on numerous television and media outlets, including Good Morning America, The Breakfast Club, USA Today, CNN News, New York 1 News, and ESPN Sports Nation. In addition, he is an educational consultant for schools in New York City, Baltimore, and Atlanta, in which he facilitates a range of after-school and summer programs throughout public schools. The NAACP, New York State Senate, and various organizations have recognized him for his outstanding literature and community work.
