While raising four children as a single mother, she returned to school and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Calgary, Alberta. She furthered her education in a Masters in Educational Leadership, San Diego State University. Writing is Hilary’s favorite pastime, and she has penned several textbooks. She also co-authored the Amazon International Best Seller, Inch by Inch, Growing in Life. After taking early retirement, Hilary fell in love with a charming fishing village in Mexico, where the vibrant local culture, including its restaurants and musical talents, captured her heart. She now enjoys spending her winters in Mexico and summers in Canada, relishing the best of both worlds. Some of you might be curious about the different names she uses for her writings. Here’s a little backstory: Hilary Davis: This is the name under which she authored textbooks and computer programs. Writing educational material was a rewarding journey that allowed her to share knowledge and contribute to academic growth. Hilary Alexandra: When she ventured into the whimsical world of children's books, she felt a different pen name was fitting. Thus, the Carter the Farter series was born. The playful and humorous nature of these books required a fresh, fun identity, and Hilary Alexandra was her perfect choice. Hilary Harrington: Now, as she embarks on writing for adults with the Golden Geezers series, she has chosen to honor her grandmother by adopting her last name, Harrington.
