Holly Willis is a faculty member in the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, where she also serves as the founding chair of the Media Arts + Practice division, dedicated to the creative and critical uses of media. For four years she served as the editor of RES Magazine and co-curator of RESFEST, both of which were dedicated to digital cinema, motion graphics and emerging forms of media art, and she helped co-found Filmmaker Magazine, which is dedicated to independent film. She is the author of the books New Digital Cinema and Fast Forward: The Future(s) of the Cinematic Arts and editor of The New Ecology of Things and David O. Russell: Interviews. She writes frequently on experimental film, video and new media.
