Hortensia Ortega, originally from Mexico, never anticipated that her journey would lead her to reside in the United States for over a decade. Following the completion of her MBA, she embraced motherhood. With a strong desire to impart both her native language, Spanish, and English to her children, she recognized the importance of bilingualism in their childhood. When her eldest child commenced schooling and she aimed to reinforce his Spanish proficiency, she encountered a challenge. The available tools for teaching the alphabet did not seamlessly accommodate both languages, necessitating her to innovate. Motivated by this gap, she took initiative to develop a book that would facilitate her son in recognizing letters by associating them with words in both English and Spanish.
