I was born on Cape Cod in 1948 and attended Barnstable High School, graduating in 1963. After high school, I spent three years in the U.S. Army serving with the 173rd Airborne Brigade on Okinawa and in Vietnam. Following my discharge I returned to the Cape, married my wife Nancy and together we raised a family. Retiring from a position as Director of Operation for Cape Cod Academy in 2013, I renewed an old hobby of pen and ink drawing. For several years, I have been drawing historical sites on Cape Cod and researching the history of each. With several ancestors that go all the way back to the Mayflower, it has been an interesting and enjoyable hobby. Recently, it was suggested by my children and grandchildren that I put my drawings and research into a guide for others to enjoy and that lead to Papa's Guide to Cape Cod.
