Hughes Cooke is a history buff and 8th generation American of African descent. As a child, Hughes loved to read, especially historical biographies. He writes to discover and shed light on the wisdom of the past, and to share the joy and power of reading. He lives with his wife in Virginia. Fun fact: He's a big fan of science fiction.
