Hyun Choi

关于作者

As a child, Hyun Choi was as curious and adventurous as a mudfish slipping through shallow streams—never staying still, always eager to explore the unknown. Whether it was flipping over rocks to find hidden creatures, racing through fields with the wind in her hair, or experimenting in the kitchen with traditional Korean recipes, she approached the world with boundless wonder. For decades, she carried the dream of becoming an author, tucking away stories like little treasures waiting to be unearthed. Now, in her mid-50s, she has finally brought her first book to life—a story that blends adventure, care, and the deep connections that shape a family. Her debut book, The Greatest Catch, is more than a childhood memory; it is a heartfelt message to her children. It holds the essence of the life they once shared—cooking warm meals together, asking “Did you sleep well?” or “Are you hungry?” instead of just saying “I love you.” It reflects the unspoken language of care, the way love is passed down through thoughtful gestures and everyday moments. Within its pages, she hopes they will recognize the quiet whispers of her care, woven into every word like a gentle current guiding them home. Now residing in Sedona, Arizona, Choi continues to embrace life’s adventures. She spends her days hiking through breathtaking red rock landscapes, finding inspiration in the vast desert skies, and reconnecting with nature. Soon, she will be working on an ECO farm, immersing herself in sustainable living and farming—a new chapter in her lifelong love for discovery. Through her writing, she hopes to inspire young readers to stay curious, embrace the beauty of everyday moments, and always follow the stories that call to their hearts.
