Mr Ian John Cunningham

Ian Cunningham was born in Glasgow in1948.When two years of age his mother moved to Ireland with Ian and his sister Maureen.His father emigrated to Canada where he died in 1965.Ian was educated in St.Eunans college, Letterkekenny before attending University College Galway and qualified as a teacher,although his choice of a career was in the legal field.Ian was a keen sportsman and was given the opportunity to sign professionally for Chelsea F.C. in1966.When offered a position as a teacher in Donegal,the opportunity to accept a return to his native county couldn't be resisted.Ian spent twenty years as a teacher before taking up the job of running his own public house the Oasis Bar in Letterkenny.When Ian sold the bar in 2000 he decided to take up writing as a hobby.He recently published his first book"In My Heart Forever" and is in the process of completing his second novel which he hopes to publish in the near future.
