Ian Lightsey here from Thirdlight Publishing. As a father of two, I've been blessed to observe the impacts of story time on my own family, as well as the lasting impacts and creative influence it has through each stage of our children's development. The joyful nature we all possess as kids is quickly stripped away as we mature, and the influences of the world are creeping in on our kids at younger and younger ages. Books with content that open up critical conversations with our kids, help them see the world through God's eyes, retain their silliness and joy, and establish a foundation for their character later in life are more and more important with the societal changes of the past few generations. At Thirdlight Publishing, we believe the impact of reading together at bedtime has a profound impact on family dynamics and the character of our kids. Our mission is simple: We want to be the last book your family reads before bed – we’re “there for goodnight”.
