Ian Luna is the author (or co-author) of several books on fashion design, architecture, urbanism and industrial design including Louis Vuitton: Architecture and Interiors (with Mohsen Mostafavi); Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation; New New York: Architecture of A City; Imagining Ground Zero (with Suzanne Stephens); Retail: Architecture and Shopping, On the Edge: Ten Architects from China (with Yung Ho Chang); Tokyolife: Art and Design (with Toshiko Mori, Lauren A. Gould, Tom Mes, et al.); A Bathing Ape (with Nigo); Shigeru Ban: Paper in Architecture (with Riichi Miyake), Carhartt Work in Progress, Wedgwood, BEAMS at Home, Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion & Architecture, and Louis Vuitton City Bags, a comprehensive taxonomy of the most successful line of accessories in fashion history, for which he served as general editor and contributing essayist. As editor, Mr. Luna previously worked on monographs on Maison Martin Margiela, Alber Elbaz at Lanvin, KENZO, Tord Boontje, Studio Job, Chip Kidd, Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Marcel Wanders, MUJI, Tokujin Yoshioka, Mika Ninagawa, Atelier Bow-Wow, Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, KAWS, Alice Temperley, Fafi: The Carmine Vault, and Pharrell Williams: Places and Spaces I've Seen, and Pharrell: A Fish Doesn’t Know It’s Wet, for which he was also a contributor. He has edited and contributed to five books so far on the work of Rick Owens, the first of which he also served as general editor. His art direction and book design credits include the aforementioned A Bathing Ape Book and Kanye West: Glow in the Dark.
