Ilona Bray

Ilona Bray believes in magic, yet is hopelessly practical. She's the person you don't want sitting next to you in a fantasy movie, because she'll ask annoying questions like, "Wait, if they're flying that high in the air, wouldn't they black out from lack of oxygen?" Questions like this find their way into Ilona's books, most notably "Mossby's Magic Carpet Handbook," a guide for children of all ages. Ilona has degrees in philosophy, law, and East Asian studies. She enjoys world travel but hates long plane rides. She is currently working on a middle grade novel based on her mother's childhood in Lithuania, and is represented by literary agent Kristen Terrette of Martin Literary Management.
