Isabel Scrabis

Hi there! My name is Isabel Scrabis. I am an elementary school teacher and first-time author from Pittsburgh, PA. I am currently living in Northern Virginia where I teach fifth grade! My book, Alina the Ballerina, was originally written as an assignment for a children's literature course that I took in graduate school in the Spring of 2020. However, it became so much more as I began to write this story to honor my beautiful friend, Alina, whose life was taken as a result of domestic violence in October 2017. My goal is to share Alina's story while capturing her in the beautiful and youthful way she is remembered.
