Isabelle Lauren

I'm a nutritionist with a lifelong passion for cooking. I began working alongside my grandmother in the kitchen since about the time I was tall enough to raise my chin over the countertop ;). After my father became stricken with type 2 diabetes, I began leveraging the culinary skills to create meals that would help with his condition, which I continue to provide him to this day. Soon after I began caring for my father, I became interested in learning how to help others and became a professional nutritionist. Today, I am best-known for my beloved cookbooks for diabetics, as well as books of traditional recipes. When I'm not in the kitchen or researching my next book, I love exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my friends and family (especially my husband and 10 and 12 year old children).
