Isabelle Rhodes is an experienced home cook and recipe developer based in Seattle, Washington. Ever since she was young, Isabelle has had a passion for creating delicious, seasonal meals using fresh, local ingredients. After graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts, Isabelle worked as a line cook at several popular Seattle restaurants where she learned techniques and flavors from around the world. Ready to focus more on simple, comforting fare, she left restaurant life to develop recipes for food blogs and meal kit companies. When she's not in the kitchen, you can find Isabelle exploring Seattle's famous Pike Place Market for inspiration on new ingredient combinations and flavour profiles. She also enjoys foraging for wild berries, mushrooms and herbs that make their way into many of her recipes. Isabelle draws from her culinary school training, restaurant experience and lifelong love of food to create the kind of recipes she loves to cook at home. With an emphasis on simple techniques and unfussy presentations, her goal is to give home cooks the tools and confidence they need to create nourishing, delicious meals for themselves and their families. Outside of recipe development, Isabelle can be found hiking the misty Pacific Northwest forests, sampling wines at local wineries, or curling up with a great cookbook. She currently lives outside Seattle with her husband Michael and wheaten terrier named Daisy.
