J. A. Clark served in the US Marine Corps for 4 years where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He was an honor graduate of the Infantry Squad Leader’s Course, NCO of the quarter, Corporal’s Course Gung Ho award recipient, and 2-time Navy Achievement Medal awardee. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for the duration of his enlistment and participated in Joint Task Force-6 ops with Border Patrol in the Southwest United States. He also deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit to Kuwait as part of Operations Desert Thunder, Southern Watch, and Desert Fox. He currently resides near the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA, with his wife Amy, daughters Alex and Abby, and 2 corgis.
