I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but currently live in El Paso, Texas. I spent four years on active duty as an officer in the United States Army, and remain a member of the United States Army Reserve. I have one novel in print (What I Learned in Vegas), with a second one (Borderlands) scheduled for release in October 2020. I am also the author of several short stories, some of which have been published in the Border Tapestry. If you would like to read any of my short fiction, shoot me an email and I'll send you one for free. People always say to write what you know. I know science-fiction and fantasy (having read works in those genres my entire life), so that's what I write. I believe that through the lens of science-fiction and fantasy, we can more effectively examine the world around us. I would love to connect with any readers. If you have any comments or criticism of my work, shoot me an email at jbmasaji@gmail.com.
