J. Budziszewski

J. Budziszewski (Ph.D. Yale, 1981) is a professor of government and philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin, where he also teaches courses in the law school and the religious studies department. He specializes in political philosophy, ethical philosophy, legal philosophy, and the interaction of religion with philosophy. Among his research interests are classical natural law, virtue ethics, conscience and moral self deception, the institution of the family in relation to political and social order, religion in public life, and the problem of toleration. His most recent books are What We Can't Not Know; On the Meaning of Sex; and a series of commentaries on the Summa Theologiae of Thomas Aquinas. He has also written a number of books for young people, especially How to Stay Christian in College. Married for over 45 years, Dr. Budziszewski has two grown daughters and a flock of grandchildren. He enjoys contemporary music, by which he means the contemporaries of Johann Sebastian Bach. The unguessable pronunciation of his last name is "Boojee-shefskee.+
