J. Curtis Varone

Curt Varone has been in the fire service for more than 40 years, with experience as a volunteer, paid on-call, and career firefighter. He also has twenty-nine years experience as a practicing attorney representing firefighters and fire departments. Curt served 29 years with the Providence Fire Department, retiring as a deputy chief, and served as the Director of the Public Fire Protection Division at the NFPA. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member of the National Fire Academy, Executive Fire Officer Program and of Providence College's program in Fire Science.
