Born in Ohio and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Julie Freeman's innate love of animals and the outdoors became the driving force in her life. As a teen, she wrote short stories and novels plus sketched people and animals while exploring the tropics by camping, scuba diving and boating. After college, she traveled extensively, spending time in Alaska, Oregon, Maine, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Arizona. Julie met her husband, artist Charles Freeman and together, accompanied by a menagerie of exotic and domestic animals, they explored and toured the country in an RV, selling their perspective arts until finally settling in Coastal Oregon. An adventurist and a survivalist, an accomplished artist and a writer, Julie Freeman has lived an extraordinary life. Admittedly, of the many novels she has written, "Beyond Genius" was the one that changed her life. It gave her a peek into the vast and infinite multiplicities that contain the mysteries of existence. Through years of painstaking research, the book awakened her to many spiritual truths. One of the most profound? The acceptance for all walks and all peoples; respecting them for their choices, their beliefs, and their marvelous ability to astound.
