J. Hyght Parker grew up on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, where she cultivated her love for storytelling with a background in Theatre from the University of Hawaii. After living in four different countries and mastering two languages, she now calls sunny San Diego, California home, where she writes with a cup of tea in hand and her adorable puppy, Chips, on her lap —offering moral support and occasional editorial input in the form of tail wags and snores. When she’s not crafting enchanting tales for young readers, J. Hyght Parker spends her time rock climbing, belting out karaoke tunes, and dominating game nights with her loving husband, Nick. Having spent nearly the past decade working on TV shows like Hawaii 5-0 and NCIS: Hawaii, she brings a cinematic touch to her heartwarming children's books, creating fun, friendship-filled worlds packed with excitement, magic, and just the right amount of adventure!
