Scott is the author of Finding Divine Inspiration: Working with the Holy Spirit in Your Creativity (http://JScottMcElroy.com), and Creative Church Handbook: Releasing the Power of the Arts in Your Congregation. He directs the The New Renaissance Arts Movement, Connecting and Equipping Artists and Churches for Inspired Creativity (http://TheNewR.org), leads workshops on the arts and the church, and writes for sites like Crosswalk.com and RelevantMagazine.com. Scott holds a Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry (MATM), Worship, Theology, and the Arts specialization, from Fuller Theological Seminary. He's worked in creative professions for decades, as an award-winning radio producer, a writer, visual artist, and voiceover artist. He spent 20 years on-air and as Production Director for Emmis Communications Indianapolis radio stations, has written hundreds of reviews as a film reviewer and freelance writer, and painted live at churches and conferences. He hosted the Animal Planet TV series "Wildlife Journal" (2004-2007), and narrated the scripture meditation recordings "Peace-full: Releasing the Peace You Need Today", "Fear-Less: Bringing Freedom From Fear, Anxiety, and Worry", and "Courageous: Courage and Hope for the Journey."
