Jackie Nix

Jackie Nix is an animal scientist who is also an award-winning author and illustrator dedicated to creating agriculturally accurate children’s books. She wants to share her love and fascination of all forms of farming and agriculture to educate and inspire children of all ages. Jackie has enjoyed a long and diverse career as an animal nutritionist in the livestock feed industry and as an Agriculture Extension Agent with the Cooperative Extension Service. She has written extensively for adult audiences in her career but is now turning her focus to sharing with young audiences.
