James Vincent is a journalist and writer based in the UK. He is a former senior editor at The Verge, where he specialized in coverage of AI. He is the author of Beyond Measure, a non-fiction book about the development of systems of measurement and their effect on people and the world. Beyond Measure was a New Yorker and Economist book of the year, The Times science book of the year, a New York Times critics’ pick of the year, and a finalist for the 2023 Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
