Jane Eastoe has been a journalist and author for more than 30 years. She worked for several years in the fashion business press, reviewing the international collections and interviewing designers from Galliano to Gaultier. With a young family and in search of a more fulfilling life, she moved from London to the east Kent countryside, developing her interest in plants, flowers, herbs, fruit, and foraging for wild food such as fungi and shellfish. Five years ago the family decamped to the tiny village of Etal in rural north Northumberland. Jane is passionate about the countryside and exploring the British landscape. She has a keen interest in history and has been able to combine these varied interests in some of her many books, several of which were linked to television series. She is an enthusiastic, though time-short gardener and adores all flowers, save those from the garage forecourt. Jane is married, has 2.5 children, two dogs that she attempts to train, two cats and some hens.
