Janet Perez

Janet Elizabeth Perez was born in Colón, Republic of Panama. At the age of 12, she moved to Upstate New York to live with her American father and his family. Janet began writing poetry at 16, using it as an outlet to process and express her experiences with the racial tensions she faced in school. A devoted believer, Janet shares her faith journey through her writing. She is the author of several self-published works, including Guard It, Butterfly Faith, From the Wilderness to the Womb, and Be Encouraged. Through these books, Janet aims to inspire and uplift others on their faith journey. Janet is also the proud mother of two amazing sons, and she cherishes every opportunity to spend quality time with them. She finds peace at the saltwater beach, where she loves to relax and reflect.
