Jay Risner

Jay Risner grew up wanting to draw... for a living... but chickened out. Many decades later, having worked in graphic design, web design and development, Jay decided that instead of a mid-life crisis (waaaaaay too much work) he'd pursue what, perhaps, he should have done in the first place - something related to drawing. Since the late 1990's he's dreamt of making a series of Mr. Cow books. When the opportunity was presented to turn dream into reality, he uncharacteristically jumped at the chance. His desire is to create a series of Mr. Cow books that dad's (and mom’s too) can read with their kids after a long day of work and get a good chuckle. Maybe Mr. Cow does ridiculous things a dad can relate to, or things a busy dad would like to do if he could get away with it. Short little books about an overly confident, slightly delusional, but lovable cow that dads and kids can enjoy. Jay, his wife and daughter and their cats live in Kansas.
