Jay Symone’

Jay Symone’ is a romance author, born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. With a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing from Southern Illinois University, a Master's degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in Language Arts, and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an endorsement in Teacher Leadership from National Louis University, Jay Symone’ brings a unique blend of educational expertise and literary passion to her storytelling. For the past seventeen years, she has been honing her craft, writing stories that highlight the complexities and beauty of love, deeply influenced by the culture of Chicago and her black ancestry. In addition to writing, she has spent the last seven years as an educator, using literature to engage students in history and storytelling. When she’s not writing or teaching, Jay Symone’ can often be found spending time with friends and family, traveling or roaming through a bookstore with a cup of tea in hand.
