Jean J. Ryoo (류진선) grew up in Los Angeles, eating spam kimchee jjigae with cheese, saving bugs from swimming pools, driving too many hours on the 405, the 101, the ___, and painting murals. After adventures building art installations, studying wild chimpanzees in Uganda, riding her bike across the USA, and teaching in public schools on La Réunion and Hawai‘i, Jean decided to dedicate her time to supporting equitable education through research and writing. She is the author of numerous academic articles and co-author of Power On!, a graphic novel about friendship, empowerment, and computing education. She speaks English, elle parle français y español tambien, 한국말을 알아듣는다, i estudia català amb els seus amics.
