Jean Macdonald Vitters

At age 7, Jean Vitters enjoyed playing school with her little sisters and the neighborhood kids on her back porch. So she went to college, graduated from B.Y.U. and earned a Master’s Equivalency from Southern Utah University. Jean finally got her “dream job” and taught kindergarten and first grade for 23 years while raising her family. Jean was given the “Outstanding Educator Golden Apple Award” in 2007 and received the “PTA Excellence in Education Award” in 2015. Jean enjoys keeping journals, doing family history, and spending time with her husband and their 15 grandchildren. Jean believes that “Young children are such a gift to this world.They teach us so many things. It is truly a joy and a privilege to have children be a part of your life!”
