Jean Muenchrath's Colorado childhood gave her an insatiable appetite for mountain adventures. She loves to explore wild places under the power of her own two feet, and to feel the connection between her heart and soul and the natural world. Traveling abroad expanded Jean's perspective about herself, humanity and the planet we share. Before Jean became an author, she was a park ranger with the National Park Service for over three decades. She has led trekking tours in Nepal and Thailand and worked in Bhutan with the World Wildlife Fund. Muenchrath and her survival story have been featured in in numerous global podcasts from South Africa, Australia, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, such as Nosier Podcasts, BBC Sounds Program, Tough Girl Challenges and more. 100% of her book profits are donated to charity.
