Jean Power

Jean Power is a self-taught award-winning jewellery designer based in London, England. Jean’s primarily medium is beads and she is world-renowned for bringing a unique modern twist to this ancient art-form. The author of 10 books on beading and jewellery-making as well as creator of numerous DVDs and online films. Jean travels extensively teaching her designs and talking about her work. Jean Power’s work is inspired by geometry, form and colour. She finds the process of interpreting this inspiration by sewing thousands of small beads together an enjoyable challenge whether the piece takes a few hours or many hundreds. She likes to push herself and stretch an idea, playing with the myriad possibilities that one design, concept or technique can bring.
