Jeff Katz is the former Mayor of Cooperstown, the “Birthplace of Baseball” and home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. As a sportswriter, Katz had his first short story published alongside legendary baseball writers such as Bill James and Rob Neyer in Play It Again, edited by Jim Bresnahan (McFarland, 2006) and was featured in reviews as the highlight of the book. In 2007, Katz’ first full-length book, The Kansas City A’s & The Wrong Half of the Yankees (Maple Street Press) was released and received notable mentions in The New York Post, The Kansas City Star and other daily newspapers.
