关于作者

Hi! So Famous and So Gay: The Fabulous Potency of Truman Capote and Gertrude Stein is my first book, and I am so glad that you are interested in it. I am a new Assistant Professor of English and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Wake Forest University. I grew up in Pennsylania, but I have lived longer in Los Angeles and consider myself an Angeleno. I have an M.F.A. in fiction from the University of California–Irvine and a doctorate in English as well as a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from the University of Southern California. Apart from this book, my most notable work of non-fiction is the article “Capote and the Trillings: Homophobia and Literary Culture at Mid-Century,” which won the 2009 Andrew J. Kappel Prize for Best Article of the Year in Twentieth-Century Literature. My most successful short story is “Best Friend,” which was the lead story in Best Gay Stories 2009. I split my time between Los Angeles and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and I have a boyfriend and two cats.
