Jennifer Rowntree

Growing up in Houston, Texas, Jennifer Rowntree was raised in a creative household filled with music and writing. She enjoyed spending time with horses and went to Texas A&M University, majoring in Psychology. She later obtained her nursing degree following the birth of her second daughter, Cassie, who was diagnosed with significant developmental delays and seizure disorder. Fast forward many years, Jennifer was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and wrote music and lyrics as part of her recovery process. She rediscovered her love for horses and was later blessed with two grey quarter horses named Winston (a.k.a. “Winnie”) and Enzo. The children's book series "Winnie & Friends" was born out of a love for sharing life’s joys and lessons through the lens of a horse.
