I am a public health and health sciences professor, wife, and mother of a smart, playful son who loves learning. I am a Master Certified Health Education Specialist with a Doctorate of Education in Community Health Education. I live in Virginia, U.S., where ticks and tick-borne diseases are endemic and rapidly increasing, so I have been inspired to create tick safety and tick-borne disease education books for people of all ages, starting with a Tick Safety Activity Book for children.
