Jessica M. Berger lives with her husband, sons, and adopted dogs and cats in south-eastern Wisconsin. Jessica is an avid reader. She loves gardening, fostering for Hoovers Hause Dog Rescue in North Prairie Wisconsin, meditation, singing, artistic projects, and helping others. A lover of kids and animals, Jessica is an avid supporter of adoption for children and animals. There is a major problem in the United States and many other countries with overpopulation and mistreatment of domestic animals. The author intends to help create much-needed awareness of the issues the dogs and cats are encountering that lead to them entering the shelter system and the trials they face in waiting for foster and a forever home. She also hopes the stories of the dogs, spoken from the perspective of the dogs, can help the children who are facing some of the same emotions while in the foster care system. Jessica is the owner of Shadow Abby Legacy LLC and in addition to the publication of her books, provides Reiki sessions and classes, Animal Energy healing, Animal Communication, and t-shirts that raise awareness of dog rescues.
