Jessica Settergren

Jess Settergren was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram in 2019. Her treatment included surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone blockers, along with many of the most common side effects. She's been a practicing Pagan since 1996 and discovered a lack of cancer support books from a Pagan perspective. She wrote Defying Shadows hoping her experience would help others. Jess also writes fantasy and paranormal romance. She reads, gardens poorly, is a painfully beginner cello player, and probably shares too much on her blog. Jess lives in the woods with her fabulous husband, a horde of busy teenagers, two huge dogs who insist on being lapdogs, and fAngus the bossy tuxedo cat who rules them all.
