Jia Shao

Being a mother of a biracial kid, Jia Shao very well understands that, the representation of mixed race and multicultural children is very important. She is passionate about discussing ideas of mixed cultures, races and backgrounds. Jia is willing to spread the word of peace and happiness through her rhythmic writings and heart touching stories. She wants to give the gift of self-realization and self-acceptance to all children, as they tread the path of childhood and lead them into a world of wisdom, acceptance, and love. Through her book, My Heart Full of All, Jia hopes to create a space and platform where children can learn to celebrate their differences and similarities. She wants the world to understand that, being a mixed race kid makes them unique. They are a lovely amalgamation. Being mixed allows kids to travel more and exposes kids to more experiences, cultures, countries and histories. Jia, through her rhythmic writings, wants to send out the message of inclusion, without mentioning or comparing skin color. She wants all the children reading this book to explore diverse languages, traditions and cultures and learn to accept themselves for who they are. She understands how importance it is to instill self-acceptance, self-love and confidence in children from a young age.
