Jim DeVault

关于作者

Jim DeVault is a writer, independent filmmaker and composer living in the Dallas, Texas area. A filmmaker since the 70's he has produced and directed numerous short films, and several features, from 2008's "The Sisters Four" to the "Bood Reunion Trilogy." His short films are generally art house films, heavy in surrealism and symbolism, using live action and animation and a variety of styles, while his feature work is primarily in the horror/thriller genre. In the 1980's he worked as a radio disk jockey, and recorded his first composition using the radio station's production facilities. From that time he began building his own studio, where he works today. As a composer he has recorded and released numerous music CDs on his own Stone Bell Creations label. As with his films his musical styles vary, even within the same CD release. His writing includes numerous screenplays, non-fiction book about low budget horror and science fiction movies (which he admittedly has a fondness for), a novel based on his horror screenplay for "The Fun Room," the black humor novels "Darling Emily" and "Pastor Rabbitt's Revival," and a short book of poetry, "The Weeping Stone."
