Jim Duffy is an award-winning writer who specializes in travel, history, and culture. He lives in Cambridge, a waterfront town on the storied Eastern Shore of Maryland, with his wife, the photographer Jill Jasuta. The two are co-founders of the business Secrets of the Eastern Shore, which celebrates the beauty and history of the Delmarva Peninsula in words, photos, and products. The peninsula includes the Eastern Shore of Virginia, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and most of the state of Delaware. Duffy has written numerous books designed to help people explore, discover, and cherish the sights and stories that make the Delmarva Peninsula such a national treasure. He has also written a short-read biography of Charles A. Tindley, a gospel music pioneer and a preacher heaven-bent on making a difference in the world. Duffy earned dozens of writing awards for work with newspapers and magazines earlier in his career. A native of Chicago, he first learned the journalism game as an undergrad at the great Roosevelt University. He and Jasuta have lived on the Eastern Shore since 2004.
