Jim MacCurtain

Jim MacCurtain is a Father, Husband and Sales & Marketing Executive based in Brooklyn, New York. Jim's first book, "Sasha and Penny's Sweet Swap" was published in 2024, but his love of books and creative writing began long ago in Milton, Massachusetts where he was raised alongside an older brother and younger sister by two loving parents. Jim's mother, Judy, a second grade teacher, introduced him to books at a very early age, taking him on daily walks to the public library to discover great books. He soon found himself able to travel the world without leaving the comfort of his home as he read stories by great authors. When his daughter was born, he did his best to provide that same access to books that his mother did and enjoyed making up stories and characters for his daughter at bedtime. In the Spring of 2024, Jim's daughter encouraged him to stop talking about Sasha and Penny, and start writing, and the rest is history. "Sweet Swap" may be his first book, but it's unlikely to be his last. He hopes his book brings a smile to young readers, and encourages them to pursue their dreams, not matter how long they take to complete :)
