Jo-Anne Elikann

Jo-Anne Elikann was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Queens, and lives in Manhattan. The day her parents let her ride the subway she fell hopelessly in love with the city, and has feasted on its smorgasbord of extraordinary experiences ever since. A freelance writer, artist, and photographer whose proudest achievement has been raising six kids in a NYC apartment, her career includes stints as an art/antiques cataloguer, director of a children’s art center, partner in a graphics firm, and healthcare/scientific research administrator. She’s a die-hard New Yorker and lifelong explorer of its nooks, crannies, and endless power to amaze.
