Joann Abrahamsen

Joann Abrahamsen is an award-winning board-certified consultant in hypnosis, NLP practitioner, and life coach for the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and the International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapists (ICBCH) and a certified hypnosis instructor for the NGH. She was inducted into the National Guild of Hypnotist’s (NGH) Order of Braid, recognizing a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication, and service, and received their Charles Tebbetts Award for "Spreading the Light of Hypnosis." Currently, she writes a quarterly column for the NGH Journal of Hypnotism magazine entitled “Suggestion” and was featured on the cover of the March 2022 issue. Future books will include Surviving and Thriving after a Cancer Diagnosis; Hypnosis for Weight Management, and Hypnosis for Stop Smoking. When she is not writing, Joann, along with her husband, Robert Fried, enjoy ballroom dancing and cruising. Joann and Robert live in Westchester County, NY, with their calico cat, Nutmeg.
