Joe Ryan

Joe Ryan was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. With a passion and interest in history and writing, he began his early career as a researcher at the Nova Scotia Archives. Joe is a graduate of St. Mary's University located in Halifax, Nova Scotia holding a Bachelor of Arts with a History and English major as well as a Bachelor of Education. He's a retired public servant of Canada Post. Throughout Joe's career, he also developed a talent for promoting boxing events in the 80's and 90's. Although it's been many years since his promoting days, he still carries a passion and thirst for boxing and historical research. In collaboration with his partner and co-writer S. Crawford, Joe is presently working on a historical fiction novel, screenplay, and researching data for the compilation of an African-Canadian history book to be published in the near future.
