John Bromhal

Born in small-town Minnesota, John grew up in suburbia of the Baltimore/Washington DC metropolitan area. He completed his undergraduate studies through the University of Maryland system and his graduate work at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, earning an MDiv with academic honors in Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, and Theological Ethics. John has served over twenty-eight years as an ordained parish pastor. He has a passion for teaching the Bible and helping people apply God’s Word in their lives. A father of four and grandfather of three, John and his wife Susan have been lovingly married for over forty years. He continues to pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Damascus, Maryland. When he is not engaged in the life of the congregation, John writes on Substack (johnbromhal dot substack dot com) and offers a weekly podcast, aiming to help ordinary people read the Bible for the sake of life application and a godly transformation.
