John Carlin

I graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and have an MBA from the University of Minnesota. Currently I live in Apple Valley Minnesota. As a Merchant Mariner I traveled all over the world and loved the adventure of seeing new places. I am a big "gadgets guy" and always want to play with any new gadget, concept, or idea, that comes along. Mental math is somewhat of a nerd/wonky thing but it has so many practical applications. My real interest is in the ideas behind the math, not the mechanical process of doing what a calculator can do.
