John Daniel

John Daniel, a social entrepreneur, speaker and author, is the Founder and Owner of Bluff City Pickleball, a mission driven company that is devoted to improving social connection and the emotional and physical health of its members. John is retired after serving 47 years in the banking industry. In his most recent role, he was Chief Human Resources Officer at First Horizon Bank (2006-2021). In 2022, he served a one-year appointment as a Fellow at Harvard's Advanced Leadership Initiative. John is a long-time leader in the Memphis community and serves on multiple non-profit boards. He is also motivational speaker on leadership, culture, teamwork and human nature. John is a heart transplant recipient who told his story of resilience in a 2020 TEDx Talk "Everything Will Be Alright"
