Hi, I am a Canadian minister (Rev.) who for the last 25 years has been involved in Out Reach & missions / ministry in the Down Town East Side (DTES) of Vancouver B.C. The DTES is called "Canada's Poorest Postal Code". As well I am the chairman of a non-profit residence association in the heart of the DTES. As a result I have seen more than my fair share of "pest control" issues, & people who can’t afford an exterminator, landlords who will not pay for pest control services, & in many cases it is a matter of dignity to keep there pest control / infestations to themselves. Sadly some are genuinely fearful to talk to their landlord for not just fear of ridicule, but eviction where affordable housing is scarce. Vancouver ranks among the world's most unaffordable and outright expensive cities to live in.
