John Mulholland

John Mulholland has a wide interest in military history with a focus on British military history from the Peninsular War till today. His interest was stimulated as a schoolboy at Stonyhurst which had seven old boys as VC recipients. He has written numerous articles in journals and in 1999 was co-author of "Victoria Cross Bibliography". In 2007 he wrote "A Party Fit for Heroes" with Derek Hunt which describes the first VC Reunion on 26 June 1920. In 2013 he co-authored "Beyond the Legend: Bill Speakman VC". In 2019, Spink published his Second Edition of "Victoria Cross Bibliography" which greatly expanded the 1999 version. In 2023 John wrote "Ferulas & Thuribles: Surviving Stonyhurst in the 1960s" which is a memoir of his journey through boarding schools between 1960 and 1971.
