John Roberts

关于作者

This not a book about the author's cancer, although his fighting experience and example are occasionally used and are the primary author credential. It is, rather, an authoritative handbook by a professional writer of thoughtful advice, motivation, and solutions for everyone touched by cancer, both patients and those who care for them. John Roberts has survived incurable cancer a year beyond the three-year average longevity for his condition with a strong and comprehensive fighting program. He continues to lead a painless, normal life after nearly a year of exceptionally successful chemotherapy that has frozen all cancer growth. This rare result is derived from a lifetime of challenging activity, physical fitness, and confident thinking that will inspire others to fight in their own way, suitable to their own strengths and situation. He flew two fighter pilot tours in Vietnam and was a NATO air combat instructor pilot in the F-4 Phantom. He is the author of The Fighter Pilot's Handbook and was an aviation magazine editor and newspaper financial columnist. He has engaged in a wide variety of challenging sports such as the marathon, parachuting, Alpine mountain climbing, one-man bobsledding, ocean sailing, diving, and aerobatics. He has traveled the world and worked for long periods in 12 different countries. He holds an MBA from New York University, taught Management in two European MBA programs, and managed several financial services offices, firms, and regions in the US and Europe.
